There are walks almost everywhere throughout the South Coast in Albany. In fact, you can walk from Albany directly to Perth along the Bibbulmun Track. But more likely you'll want to explore shorter, more well travelled paths. We've selected our favourite walks from along the coast to see if we can inspire you to get out and enjoy the walking and nature trails the coast has to offer... and have a good walk in this beautiful corner of Australia, the Rainbow Coast on the Great South West Edge.

The Walk of Walks

The Bibbulmun Track is one of the world's great long distance walk trails, stretching nearly 1000kms from Kalamunda (Perth Hills) to Albany (South Coast) through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia. The Bibbulmun Track stretches from Kalamunda in the Perth hills to Albany, in the heart of the Rainbow Coast.

The track was officially opened during Western Australia's 150th year celebrations, included involved over 1000 walkers on different stages.

There are almost fifty campsites along the Track which are spaced one day's walk apart. The track passes through most of the beautiful places along the Rainbow Coast.
